FT8Flow v1.61.9 - Qt6 Source Build
===================================

This archive contains the main FT8Flow Qt6 source snapshot
corresponding to the v1.61.9 Windows binary release.
It is not a copy of the binary runtime and contains no auxiliary
program source trees.

MAIN BUILD ENVIRONMENT USED FOR ACCEPTED DEVELOPMENT:
- Windows 11, 64-bit
- Qt 6.8.3, MinGW 13.1.0, including gfortran
- CMake 4.2.3
- Boost 1.88
- Hamlib 4.7.1
- Required FFTW, PortAudio and USB dependencies

BUILD:
1. Install/configure the above Qt6 and MinGW toolchain
and the dependencies expected by CMakeLists.txt.
2. Open a terminal with MinGW, Qt6 and the dependency
   library directories available.
3. Configure using the CMakeLists.txt in this directory.
Use the MinGW Makefiles generator and a Release build.
4. Build the CMake target "wsjtx". Its produced main
   application executable is FT8FLOW.exe.
5. The install/packaging configuration and required
DLLs/plugins/resources must be used when constructing
a complete portable runtime. A compiled EXE alone
   is not the complete release.

Example configuration, after dependencies are installed:
  cmake -S . -B build -G "MinGW Makefiles" -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release -DWSJT_GENERATE_DOCS=OFF
cmake --build build --target wsjtx --parallel 4

Pass dependency-specific CMake paths as needed for your toolchain.
Disabling documentation generation avoids requiring Asciidoctor
when building the application executable. The published v1.61.9
portable binary release was built and tested separately;
an independent Windows rebuild from this archive has not
yet been certified. Successful ZIP hash verification does not
establish reproducibility of the Windows build.

LICENSING:
See COPYING, AUTHORS, THANKS, FT8FLOW_MODIFICATIONS.txt
and retained third-party source notices/licenses.
FT8Flow derives from GPL-covered WSJT-X components.

SCOPE:
This ZIP intentionally excludes the separate source
trees for bundled auxiliary programs (including Fooler,
Contest Logger and Contest Setup). It is not a source
distribution for those programs. Where their licenses
require corresponding-source availability, that source
must be offered separately under the applicable terms.

This package contains no compiled auxiliary applications,
old source backups, private development reports or
build-cache files.
RELEASE DATA FILES:
ALLCALL7.TXT is part of the CMake install resources and is retained.
The optional top-level CALL3.TXT database is not referenced by this
CMake install route and is omitted; QMAP/MAP65 resources are retained.

SOURCE PACKAGE MAINTENANCE (2026-10-17):
Release-specific version documents have been updated to v1.61.9.
The obsolete SHA256SUMS_SOURCE.txt has been removed instead of
shipping a manifest known to describe a different source snapshot.
The current C++/Fortran/application sources are unchanged.
